Transition to Teaching

Licensure Preparation

A Program for College Graduates who want to Become Teachers

Our top-notch Transition to Teaching program is for individuals with a bachelor’s degree who are interested in obtaining their initial teaching license. We have two versions of the program: daytime in-person coursework that can be completed in three semesters, or an online program for working adults that can be completed in 20 months.

All of our programs offer the following:

  • Professors with P-12 teaching experience
  • Individualized faculty advising and mentorship
  • A program of study that reflects present-day schools and classrooms
  • An asset-based approach to students’ diverse backgrounds and abilities
